Black Bat Clips

Make these creepy bat clips for Halloween decorations with your residents!

Googly eyes
Black card stock, construction paper, or Fun Foam

Create templates for the bat's body and wings. Make duplicates to pass out to each resident. Have the residents trace the templates on to the black paper and cut them out.
Glue the wings on the clothespin (clip side up) and glue the body on the middle of the wings. Glue on the eyes and clip all over for fun decorations!

Pumpkin Bocce

Roll in the month of ghosts and goblins with pumpkins!

1 Large pumpkin
Small pumpkins (one per resident)

Place the large pumpkin several feet away from your starting point.
Give each resident their own small pumpkin and have them write their names somewhere on them.
Have residents take turns rolling their pumpkins towards the large pumpkin, with the goal of landing nearest to it.
The next player then rolls and either tries to get closest to it or tries to push the other small pumpkin out of the way.
After each resident has rolled a pumpkin, the name on the pumpkin closest to the large pumpkin is the winner!

Edible Eyes

Tasty Halloween treat!

Donuts holes -store bought or hand made
Gummy lifesavers
White icing
Red food coloring
Chocolate Chips

You may want to make your own donut holes as part of the activity.
First, make red icing using white frosting and red food coloring.
Give each resident a powdered donut hole. Have the resident glue on the gummy lifesaver with the red frosting.
Then, have the residents glue in a chocolate chip in the center of the gummy lifesaver! Allow to set for no longer then 24 hours.
